Welcome to St John the Baptist Parish

St John The Baptist Parish has been nestled in the foothills of The Dandenongs for over 100 years. Throughout our history we have endeavored to be a welcoming parish, encouraging one another through prayer, friendship and practical support, living our faith lives locally, in the wider community and the wider world.

       Sunday         Belgrave: 8.30am  Ferntree Gully   10.30am                        

                                 Gembrook 9.00am        Monbulk      11am                               

   No weekday Masses from Monday 10th August to and including Friday 14th August 2026

      Saturday        Belgrave 9am             Ferntree Gully 6pm                                                      

    Reconciliation: Belgrave Saturday at 9.45am and Ferntree Gully at 5.15pm

Community is everything

Through both challenge and change the people of St John’s have prayed and played together and showed their concern for each other and for all around them.  A parish is so much more than a fixed territory.  A parish is a visible and true expression of what it means to be Church. It is a community of people called and chosen by God to walk the way, to be faithful to what is true and just and to live the life of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is our Lord.
